While looking for something else, I have across an interesting article which is, in fact, a case study about iStockphoto “How to evolve from a free community site to successful business”. It is slightly out-of-date (Nov 2006), but has interesting thoughts about the early stages of microstock industry and some facts from iStock history. Very good read for those interested in microstock past, present…. and future.
